New Treasures
I found some nice treasures over the weekend and now I am the proud owner of some bee boxes that were give to me to start raising bees... which I know little about at this point.. but thats ok i will just google and see what i can find out . The man that gave them to me said the bees will come and fill it up with honey soon, so i am crossing my fingers! He said I may have to buy a queen bee. I wonder where you find them? Oh what am i thinking? i will just google! Did I mention they were all free? just what i love! So we have 2 dogs 2 cats , cows, chickens and soon.. hopefully bees!We are minus 1 chicken and now down to 39, one of our cinnamon queens died today and I am sad about losing it :( On the brighter side of things my Dad gave me some old hutches to chalk paint and i can hardly wait to get started on them. Sis gave me several pieces of furniture to repurpose. I am running out of room in the garage so i better stop junking and start painting what i have. It was nice to go visit my folks and bring home lovely treasures. I painted this old desk the other day and I thought it turned out pretty good! These are my tulips in my yard I planted a couple of years ago I had a lot more but the squirrels got some of the bulbs before they bloomed. I love what i do and do what I love!

Day# 2 blogging: Good morning everyone, It's cold and rainy here in Oklahoma.I want to get out and paint or go junking from my Big junk pile. My husband and I bought this farm we live on about 12 years ago which was his Grandparent's place and papa never got rid of Anything!Over the years I have found some pretty nice junk from the barns and junk pile thats full of old rusty farm equipment parts and stuff like that. recently we got some chicks to raise 40 of them to be exact! We have a large chicken house that needs some attention and is full of old wood and pretty good junk. so my husband thought it would be quicker and less work to just fix the chicks a place in one of the barn stalls in the barn. So I cleaned it out and we started the project. Not a fun job but in the mess of the stall I found some wood flooring Papa had stored for over 40 years right There! I was too excited for words, what treasures we have found! So I will start on the wood later on and find something to make with it.I will post picks of that, So far we have the chicken wire up and just a few more things to secure from predators. The chicks are growing and thriving my Husband made them a make shift coop for now. I can't wait until they start laying those big brown eggs! Speaking of chicken I am making white chicken chili today I will post a pick of it. There isn't anything better than hot soup or chili on cold wet days.I love what I do and do what I love! pioneerckalkchick
